Local dance students in ‘Oz’

Four dance students from the Oneonta branch of Miss Kelley’s School of Dance were among a group chosen to be in one of the two Birmingham performances of the nationally touring musical “Oz, the Musical,” written and directed by Todrick D. Hall. Mallory Allen, Justice Brown, Bethany Hogeland, and Mary Meg Brewer (shown above from left with “Dorothy”) danced and sang as Munchkins during the Monday, June 8, performance at Virginia Samford Theatre. After the performance, the Munchkins got autographs and took pictures of the cast of this urban/contemporary “twister” on L. Frank Baum’s classic tale “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.”
