The government has calculated the cost for a middle-income family to raise a child to age 18 is approximately $200,000, or about $30.45 per day. So, if we ever want to be rich, should we forget about having children? The answer lies in our definition of the word “rich.” From a monetary standpoint, one in possession of an over-abundance of money or goods is said to be rich. More ... JACKSON HENDERSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Romera Henderson, represented Oneonta High School at the 72nd annual American Legion Alabama Boys State in June. While at Boys State, Jackson was elected to the Senate, where he wrote and debated bills of importance to all Alabama citizens. Alabama Boys State is a leadership program for young men who have completed their junior year of high school and are expected to be campus leaders during their senior year.
