Susan Moore and Pennington sweep jamboree
HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
      All six schools in the Blount County system got together for the annual Blount County Spring Jamboree, held on Susan Moore’s Larry “Pod” Patterson Field. After two nights of play, J.B. Pennington and Susan Moore emerged undefeated. Playing on Thursday evening, Pennington opened up the jamboree with a 14-8 victory over Appalachian. Appalachian then fell by the same 14-8 margin to Cleveland. Pennington then returned to the field and picked up a close 7-6 win over Cleveland.

     SUSAN MOORE YOUTH FOOTBALL registration will continue through the end of May. Registration forms for players, cheerleaders, and majorettes can be picked up at the Susan Moore BP, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
