Preliminary results of an evaluation of county roads were presented Thursday to the Blount County Commission work session by Steve Ostaseski, principal planner representing the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham. City of Oneonta

Bids will be opened this Friday for an ambitious paving project planned for Oneonta's city streets. According to Mayor Darryl Ray, the city has advertised for paving 7.4 miles of road but will look for bids on pavement by the ton and not by the mile.
