CARMEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH on county road 29 will present its Christmas program "Birth to Judgment" Sunday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m. Curtis Atkinson, pastor. All are invited to attend. PARK AVENUE BAPTIST CHURCH Christmas bazaar is planned for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and Dec. 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunch will be available Friday. This benefit funds the benevolent programs of the Women's Mission Group. UNION HILL BAPTIST CHURCH annual free family event "Christmas in the Country" is scheduled Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12-13. The church's feature presentation of "Noel: Night of Everlasting Love" will start each night at 7. Also planned each night are soup,chili, cornbread, and dessert supper at 5:30; puppet show at 6; and Christmas walk at 6:30, along with Christmas caroling, hay rides, hot chocolate and cider, live Nativity scene, and much more. Church members urge all to join them and make "Christmas in the Country" a holiday classic to remember with their families. TABERNACLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH Women's Outreach plans a Christmas open house, bake sale, and arts 'n crafts Dec. 5-6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to benefit the church's local mission outreach. Chicken casserole plates with green beans, slaw, bread, dessert, and drink can be eaten in or carried out; plates are $6 each and will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Door prizes include $50 cash and $50 gas card gift certificates, and winners do not have to be present. SPECIAL EVENTS CLEAR SPRINGS UNITED METH- ODIST CHURCH, located on county road 15 off Ala 75, near Limestone Springs, has its annual soup and chili supper Saturday, Dec. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. when bazaar and bake sale items will be available for purchase. Donations will be accepted at the supper for Jimmie Hale Mission and Jesse's Place.
