MARJORIE WARREN CARADINE,
     74, of Oneonta, died Aug. 24, 2010, at St. Vincent’s East. An Alabama native, she graduated from Dora High School and worked as a secretary. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Oneonta. Predeceasing her were parents Lonnie T. and Annie Mae Howard Warren; husband Ralph Henderson Caradine; sister Cassie W. Herman; and brother Samuel T. Warren.

JOHNNY MACK CARDWELL,
     49, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2010, at Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital. He and his wife Susan Cardwell lived in Nashville. His father Jerry “Goose” Cardwell is a native of Susan Moore and is retired from the U.S. Air Force. His mother Martha Cardwell and father now live in Valley Head.

     71, died June 19, 2010, at the residence in Center Point. She was the daughter of the late St. Elmo and Ila Bailey of Remlap. Also predeceasing her were daughter Pam Formby and granddaughter Bridgette Formby Jones.

THELMA PEEBLES GRAVES,
     94, a retired teacher, passed away Aug. 25, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born Nov. 22, 1915, in Sullivan's Hollow, Miss., and was a 10-year resident of Nevada. She graduated from The University of Alabama in 1938 with a bachelor’s and in 1958 with a master’s, both degrees in home economics education. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma.

ELLA MAE HAYS,
     85, of Cullman, died Thursday, Aug. 26. She lived at Friday’s Crossing and Murphrees Valley in Blount County from 1956 to 1996. Predeceasing her were husbands Melvin Hill and Bill Hays, daughter Anne Ledbetter, and son Lester Geno, all of Blount County.

EARL LINDNER,
     91, died Aug. 28, 2010, at his Remlap residence. A native of Tennessee, he worked as a threader at a cotton mill. He was predeceased by parents Napolean and Elizabeth Burrell Lindner and wife Mildred Eva Pierce Lindner.

JAMES E. MOORE,
     81, of Blountsville, died Aug. 27, 2010, at Marshall Medical Center- North, Guntersville. He served in the U.S. Navy between 1945 and 1949 and was retired as manager of Lucky’s Supermarket in Blountsville. He was born in Lauderdale County and was the son of the late Charlie C. and Mary R. Graham Moore. Brother Buford Moore and sister Hazel Ann Travis also predeceased him.

JAMES “TOOTER” ROBINSON JR.,
     44, of Oneonta, died Aug. 25, 2010, at St. Vincent’s East. Born in Oneonta, he worked for his father as a teenager and young adult at Oneonta Tile Company and later drove a truck many years for Massey Hauling. He was the son of James and Shirley Sanders Robinson Sr. of Oneonta.

     74, died Aug. 27, 2010, at the Oneonta residence. Born in Alabama, he was an alignment technician in the mechanical industry. He was a member of Grayson Valley Church of God. His parents were the late Frank and Mary Rosa Todd Thomason.

WILBURN DALTON TIPTON,
     80, of Oneonta, died Aug. 23, 2010, at St. Vincent’s East. A native of Alabama, he was the son of the late Milton and Ida Lucinda Kisselburg Tipton. He was a truck driver and a member of Foster’s Chapel Church of God, New Life Ministries.

     41, of Shalimar, Fla., died Aug. 22, 2010. He was a former resident of Oneonta and graduated from Oneonta High School. His family says he was very loving and kind and will be deeply missed.

     71, of Oneonta, died Aug. 25, 2010, at St. Vincent’s Blount. The native Blount Countian was a seamstress and a member of Oneonta Second Baptist Church. Prededeasing her were parents Tom and Ruby Lucille Payne Bellew; brothers Billy Bellew and Bobby Bellew; sisters Nellie Jenkins and Anne Bellew; and life companion James “Jim” Wood.
