Kenneth Byron Wright, 89 of Blountsville passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center. 

Kenneth was born on April 4, 1936, in Liberty, the son of Alvis Byron Wright and Edith Onzell Sheffield Wright. He was a 1954 graduate of J.B. Pennington High School and was married to Jane Scott Wright. 
He began a long career that spanned over some 35 years with the United States Postal Service. He began as a mail carrier and later became Postmaster in Blountsville. Kenneth loved his job and equally loved his retirement and enjoyed life to the fullest. 
He and Jane have been faithful members of Blountsville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and in various other capacities through the years. He is survived by his wife Jane Wright; daughter Debbie Goble; son Tim Wright; grandchildren Nathan (Laura) Goble, Nicholas (Brittany) Goble, Caitlyn (Andrew) Tucker and Monica West; great grandchildren Mason Tucker, Miles Tucker, Trevie Goble, Emersyn Goble, Alexis Nearen, Maria Jefferson, Gabriella Jefferson, and Julianna Jefferson; his fur baby “Sophie;” and a host of other family and friends. 
Funeral Service was 3 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Blountsville Baptist Church with Randall Edmondson officiating. Burial was in Blountsville Cemetery. Blountsville Funeral Home directed. Visitation was 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday at Blountsville Baptist Church. Honorary Pallbearers were the deacons of Blountsville Baptist Church.
