SHARON TURNER joins Dr. Bob Smith Jan. 6 as a nurse practitioner at Blountsville Health Center, a service of Cullman Regional Medical Center. Turner is a graduate of East Carolina University School of Nursing in Greenville, N.C., and received her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Nursing. She has more than 18 years' experience as a nurse practitioner in this area. Blountsville Health Center, located at 68278 Main Street, opens Jan. 5 with new extended hours: Mondays, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 8 a.m. until 7 p.m; and Saturdays, 8 a.m. until noon. WENDY ULRICH
WENDY ULRICH was honored for 10 years' service with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System during the annual awards luncheon Dec. 5 at the 4-H Youth Development Center in Columbiana. Ulrich, an agent assistant I in Blount County, received a pin and certificate for her service.
